Passport to the World: Next Stop-France!

Eiffel tower

Katie’s Paper Eiffel Tower

We started our trip with crepes for breakfast.  The recipe was very easy, and they were tasty.  After breakfast, we did our research at National Geographic Kids and Time for Kids.  We learned about lavender and truffles and reviewed a timeline of France’s history.  Katie thought it was cool that kids in France like to play Nintendo DS.  Here’s another site to see what a typical kid’s life is like in France.

Katie was especially interested in the Eiffel Tower, so we made a paper model of the Eiffel Tower.  Note:  I printed this out on thicker paper.  She did her scrapbook pages with the pictures she selected from her research.

We reviewed some of Claude Monet’s art and Katie painted her own painting using this site for guidance.
